Golden Paste for Dogs – Natural Anti-Inflammatory Recipe
Golden Paste for Joint Relief
Golden paste is one of the most effective natural anti-inflammatories for dogs. It’s made with turmeric and a few other simple ingredients, and when used daily, it can help reduce stiffness, support mobility, and ease arthritis symptoms in aging dogs.
🐾 Ingredients
- 1/2 cup turmeric powder (organic, if possible)
- 1–1.5 cups filtered water
- 1/4 cup cold-pressed coconut oil
- 1–1.5 teaspoons ground black pepper (important for absorption)
🍲 Instructions
- Add turmeric and 1 cup of water to a small saucepan over low heat.
- Stir continuously for 7–10 minutes. The mixture should begin to thicken into a paste. If it becomes too thick or dry, gradually add more water, one tablespoon at a time.
- Once a thick, smooth consistency is achieved, remove from heat.
- Stir in the coconut oil and black pepper until fully combined and glossy.
- Let the mixture cool completely at room temperature.
- Transfer the golden paste to a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Always use a clean spoon to scoop it out.
✅ How to Use
- Start with 1/4 teaspoon daily for small dogs (under 10kg) and 1/2 teaspoon for medium to large dogs.
- Mix into your dog’s regular food or use it to top a treat. Some dogs may prefer it mixed with a small amount of bone broth or yogurt.
- Observe for tolerance and adjust dosage gradually if needed.
🦴 Why Golden Paste Works
- Turmeric: Contains curcumin, a powerful compound shown to reduce inflammation at the cellular level.
- Black Pepper: Contains piperine, which boosts curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%.
- Coconut Oil: Helps with nutrient absorption and provides healthy fats to support skin and coat health.
