Golden Paste for Dogs – Natural Anti-Inflammatory Recipe
by Jason Huang on May 04 2025
Golden Paste for Joint Relief
Golden paste is one of the most effective natural anti-inflammatories for dogs. It’s made with turmeric and a few other simple ingredients, and when used daily, it can help reduce stiffness, support mobility, and ease arthritis symptoms in aging dogs.
🐾 Ingredients
1/2 cup turmeric powder (organic, if possible)
1–1.5 cups filtered water
1/4 cup cold-pressed coconut oil
1–1.5 teaspoons ground black pepper (important for absorption)
🍲 Instructions
Add turmeric and 1 cup of water to a small saucepan over low heat.
Stir continuously for 7–10 minutes. The mixture should begin to thicken into a paste. If it becomes too thick or dry, gradually add more water, one tablespoon at a time.
Once a thick, smooth consistency is achieved, remove from heat.
Stir in the coconut oil and black pepper until fully combined and glossy.
Let the mixture cool completely at room temperature.
Transfer the golden paste to a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Always use a clean spoon to scoop it out.
✅ How to Use
Start with 1/4 teaspoon daily for small dogs (under 10kg) and 1/2 teaspoon for medium to large dogs.
Mix into your dog’s regular food or use it to top a treat. Some dogs may prefer it mixed with a small amount of bone broth or yogurt.
Observe for tolerance and adjust dosage gradually if needed.
🦴 Why Golden Paste Works
Turmeric: Contains curcumin, a powerful compound shown to reduce inflammation at the cellular level.
Black Pepper: Contains piperine, which boosts curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%.
Coconut Oil: Helps with nutrient absorption and provides healthy fats to support skin and coat health.
