🐾 Ingredients
- 2–3 pounds (1–1.5 kg) of chicken feet, oxtail, or marrow bones
- 1–2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar (helps extract nutrients from the bones)
- 1 chopped carrot or celery stalk (optional dog-safe veggie boost)
- 1 garlic clove (optional – safe in small amounts & supports immunity)
- A pinch of cracked black pepper (boosts absorption of nutrients)
- Filtered water – just enough to cover bones by 2–3 inches
🍲 Instructions
- Add bones, vinegar, veggies, garlic, and pepper into a large pot or slow cooker.
- Cover with water and let it sit for 30 minutes to help draw out nutrients.
- Simmer on low heat for 12–24 hours (slow cooker preferred for best flavor and nutrition).
- Let it cool, remove bones, and strain into jars.
- Store in fridge (up to 5 days) or freeze in small portions (up to 3 months).
